Greetings from NYC. Credentials have come through last minute for VHS or Beta, who will be bringing their French-house infused dance-punk stylings to the Blender Theatre at Gramercy.
When I saw VHS or Beta open for Doves in 2005, they brought the party early to a thin, unsuspecting crowd, but rocked the venue nontheless, so I’m looking forward to seeing what the band can do headlining this New York show.
The Louisville five-piece is touring in support of their third album, Bring on the Comets, which dropped August 28 of this year. Dance-punk compartriots the Moving Units are co-headlining with VHS or Beta for this NYC date and a number of other performances, and I fully expect that two should will have the Blender floors heaving. Thanks to Katie at Astralwerks for the last minute hookup.
