April 9, 2009 – When All-American Rejects frontman Tyson Ritter dons his sparkly purple shell-toes and performs in front of half a dozen stacks of crowd-blinders, you know it’s going to take a little speed and a lot of luck. But either way, you have to make it happen. Failure is not an option.
This was an incredibly trickly shoot, due to Ritter’s quick movements on stage and sparse backlighting. Catching the singer’s on-stage antics at a moment when the background lights were flaring up was no easy task. But, like planetary alignments, sometimes these things just work out.
Stay tuned for the full set, coming up!

I’m so excited to see the entire set now. :)
I haven’t seen these boys since 05, but it makes me really excited to see how much they’ve grown since then.
Hey Jenn, thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. Yeah, it’s great to see a band like this play to a sold-out show crowd on a big stage – with spotlights, no less. It was a really energetic set, Tyson is a captivating frontman.

Hey Todd, even though this is just a preview I love the AAR picture, can’t wait to see the whole set and I loved to Shiny Toy Guns shots also, awesome job. When will the Bamboozle pictures be up ?
Hey Janessa, thanks for the comment. I should be posting the rest of the ARR soon. I haven’t gotten to the Bamboozle shots just yet, but hope to post those maybe this week.
I recently shot AAR. The lights were a treat, as I’m often shooting in much darker conditions. check out my shots at http://www.jeremycharles.com, or look directly at http://www.jeremycharles.com/collections/musicians.html
Hey Jeremy, the lights in your venue look great – lots of nice background lighting, it looks like a better mix with the spotlights.
Once again, you kick my ass. ;-)
Ha, Diana! Thanks. ;)
Mmmm can’t wait. I loves them.
