Just one shot of your favorite redhead: Hayley Williams of Paramore.
Paramore opened for No Doubt and put on a fantastic show that proved that their touring chops are just getting better and better. The band put on a tight, focused show that was just exploding with energy. Stay tuned for the full set of images from Paramore’s set along with photos from the one and only No Doubt.

OK, staying tuned. This one’s great in the meantime.
Hey Doug,
Thanks for the comment. Hopefully the wait will be worth it, I’m going to work on both of these sets tonight.
I shot a lot for both Paramore and No Doubt; especially with the latter, the lighting and band were both so good that it’s going to be a huge final set, I think, even after vicious editing.
Yeah it’s pretty cool. Can you explain a little about the metering mode you use?
Take care
Claudio,
You can read about my exposure technique in the two articles in the right sidebar, How-To: Metering & Exposure, pt. 1+2.
Great shot man can’t wait to see the rest … No doubt had one sick stage step up
Thanks. No Doubt’s stage setup was great – plenty of open space for the band to utilize. Gwen rocked every square inch of that stage.
Dang she’s so fine. Great shot man, love the vignette behind her.
Thanks for the feedback, Chris. This show even topped the lighting of the Fray. Not topped, blew it out of the water.

Did it kill Avenged Sevenfold’s lighting? Hehe. Cool orange line at the back, how’dyou get that? I sorta liked Paramore with the older stuff, but I agree witcha, No Doubt is humongous (On your tweet comparing the both bands). I love the fact that Gwen finally stopped going solo. But she’s very talented herself; she deserved the breakout. Can’t wait for the photos, Todd. :)
Hey Lvynne,
Avenged Sevenfold has had some great light to shoot with and also some absolutely awful light. Paramore’s light was inconsistent, but generally easy to work with. Thanks for the comment.

Hey Todd,
I’m still on the antique Canon 20d. I’m really interested to see how your Nikon D3 compares. I typically don’t get great lighting so I am often shooting @ 1600. Do you have a wide-angle or something similar to this that you could post and spill some of your EXIF data and what lens you used for the shot?

PS – Don’t be mad at me for stealing your WordPress theme, it’s just so simple and clean!
You the man.
So how ’bout that date Hayley?

Ha, Zach.
