Storming the stage with a feathered headdress, gold leaf, Pixies t-shirt, and attitude aplenty, Kesha’s performance was easily one of the most visually interesting sets of the first day. Say whatever you will about her music, but I had a blast photographing Kesha’s show.

Photographer’s Notes:

Kesha’s performance at the Bamboozle was interesting, for it marked the first real set where stage lighting really dominated, creating a more classic concert treatment than the daytime performances.

Add to the mix a dancers and psuedo-patriotic costume of a feather headdress, aviator sunglasses, and the American flag, and Kesha’s set made for great photography.

Overall, there was lots of movement on stage, and Kesha played to the photographers in the photo it and crowd alike.

If you want an idea of the stages at The Bamboozle, here’s a snap that includes a bit of the photo frenzy around Kesha as she worked the bass stacks at the front of the stage.

Overall, the stages at Bamboozle were very reasonable as far as festivals go, hitting just above five-feet or so. Monitors added a little extra height, but I was still surprised at how relatively low they were.
