Photos: Papa Roach @ The Pageant

After Papa Roach's killer performance last year at the Scottrade Center supporting Breaking Benjamin, I was psyched to hear that they were coming back to the Pageant.

With killer lights, rockstar moves from frontman Jacoby Shaddix and guitar hero antics from Jerry Horton, there's a lot to like about PR's show. The only question for me before this show was, how would the band's show translate to the club from the arena?

Photographer's Notes:

This show was chaos. Before the band came, there was a huge amount of haze being pumped out over the stage, which was followed by intense backlighting on their entrance.

Overall, Papa Roach shows are characterized by huge energy, with almost nonstop movement from singer Jacoby Shaddix. This makes for hugely dynamic photos if you can catch him, and hair-pulling frustration if you can't.

Lenses Used:

This show was about 90% midrange zoom territory – I rocked the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 for almost every shot in this gallery.
