New Portfolio Site – www.toddowyoung.com

While www.ishootshows.com has always included a portfolio of my work, the focus was always a bit larger in scope, which now includes regular concert coverage, photography tutorials, articles and gear reviews.

It's been a long time coming, but I'm happy to say that I've finally launched a dedicated portfolio site. Introducing: www.toddowyoung.com

In contrast to my old portfolio system which used Adobe Flash (I know, I know), the new site features a nice jQuery slideshow that should work nicely across a wider range of platforms, including Apple iOS. For anyone used to the old portfolio, the interface is actually very similar, but with the inclusion of a thumbnail slider at the bottom for even easier navigation.

Powered by Graph Paper Press

One thing I'm excited about by this site is that it's powered by Graph Paper Press and their Sidewinder theme. Sidewinder is a fantastic theme for WordPress that I've wanted to use and customize for a while, and I'm very pleased by how the theme performed for my portfolio needs.

If you're a photographer looking for a great start to a photography portfolio site, do yourself a favor and check out Graph Paper Press and  their WordPress themes. They're specifically designed for photographers and visual artists and they always do a bang up job. In fact, www.ishootshows.com is powered by their theme Modularity.

New Work

In terms of content, the site includes portfolios for live music and portraiture, as well as a new selection including a more lifestyle-oriented work. This lifestyle section features work from a several summer festivals. The music and portrait sections feature a little new work as well, and of course I'll be updating it regularly.

Needless to say, I'm excited to publish a dedicated portfolio site and I hope you'll check it out.
