Another show with the D800. No, I’m not retiring my Nikon D3 and D700 just yet, but I am testing the D800 to see just what it can do. So far, it seems to offer the same high ISO performance (at a pixel level) to the D3 and D700, but with much more resolution. The only downside (apart from the larger file size) is the slower shooting speed of the D800.

When the D800 first came out, I was hearing a lot of grinching about the speed and file size. But now I am seeing it show up in lots of camera data — a lot more than the D4. You sure can’t argue with these results.
