What’s more sweet than one guitarist playing at the front of the stage, one foot up on the speaker monitor? Two guitarists, one right-handed, the other left-handed, each with a leg up on a monitor, mirrored in perfect, hard rock harmony. It’s kind of a beautiful thing.


Operator @ the Pageant — 2007.11.06

California-based group Operator brought a dose of hard rock to the Pageant in support of Avenged Sevenfold. Led by singer and sometimes actor Johnny Strong with guitarwork by former Puddle of Mudd member Paul Phillips, Operator was a tough shoot, the lighting of which foreshadowed the setup to come.

Right out of the gate, you have to recognize one simple fact. These guys are rockstars. Unleashing a furious set on the sold-out crowd, Avenged Sevenfold brought to their rabid fans a dynamic mix of heavy metal and hard rock tinged with notes from their metalcore roots.

Credentials just came in for the metal rockers Avenged Sevenfold at the Pageant next week. While I usually take assignments for bands to which I listen, I’ve seen some great images from this band and thought they would be a good addition to the catalogue.
