  • Congrats to Dua Lipa on the Grammy wins. I had a blast photographing Dua Lipa a couple times last year and she puts on a great show. This image was shot at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden. Made with the @nikonusa Z 7 and 70-200/2.8E.
  • Metallica, Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio. Photographing the 2009 ceremony was one of my first big breaks, and one of the biggest commercial job I had done at the time. This was shot for Fuse TV. I was using the @nikonusa D3 and 70-200mm f/2.8 for most of this show. What a thrill.
  • 13 years ago to the day, I took my camera to a show on a whim. My best friend invited me to a concert — I wasn’t familiar with the bands, so I decided to being my camera. I figured I could entertain myself making photos if I didn’t like the music. As it happened, the bands were awesome and something for me just clicked. I knew that photographing music was all I wanted to do.
13 years ago, I took my camera to a show on a whim. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine where my camera would take me.
13 years ago, I was just a fan with a camera. I still am. Thankful for all the opportunities that photography has given me.

  • Capturing the passion and energy that artists bring to the stage is one of the things that’s always captivated me about photographing live music. For me there’s no greater thrill when I have a camera in hand.
Dua Lipa photographed for iHeartRadio at the Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden, NYC. Made with the Nikon Z 7 and 70-200mm f/2.8E VR.
  • The eyes have it. Childish Gambino. Donald puts on such a high energy show. I recall seeing him years ago at a 2,000 capacity theater show, pretty wild to see him now in arenas. Shot with the @nikonusa D850 and 24-70mm f/2.8.
  • It’s pretty crazy to think that my brother @chrisowyoung and I have been shooting these guys for 10 years now. A full decade. Our first gig with @jasonaldean was shooting an ad for Wrangler Jeans in 2009. Chris stayed in touch with Jason’s team and they hired him for Jason’s first show at Madison Square Garden in 2013. Later that year we covered Jason’s big show at Sanford Stadium in Athens, GA together. We’ve been shooting for Jason and his team ever since. They’ve been amazing partners and given us the kind of trust and respect of not just client and vendor, but of teammates. Thankful to management, band and crew and all involved, people I’m really proud to call friends. Looking forward to another year with y’all. @nikonusa 8-15mm f3.5-4.5
