OK, this post is for all you hardcore Dia Frampton fans out there, because this coverage is pretty much 100% photos of Dia Framps laying down vocal fire at the Pageant. While normally I'd post a little more variety, I figured all you #teamdia folks out there won't mind.
I'd caught Meg & Dia performing years ago, back when they opened for Angels & Airwaves at the Pageant on that 2008 tour. It was really a treat to see how Dia's stage presence has evolved over the last couple of years.

Dia Frampton's performance was pretty wildly lit, with lots of red and blueish washes. However, I was pretty confident that some simple tweaks in Adobe Lightroom would stop Dia from looking like she was made out of lava, and thankfully this worked out pretty well in post.
One thing about Dia Frampton's stage presence over the last four years that hasn't changed is that she's in constant motion while performing, working the stage back and forth. This makes photography a little more challenging just due to motion and trying to get in position for the angles I wanted. Of course Dia's a beautiful subject and a pro in front of cameras by now. Great performance, fun shoot!
