Warped Tour is always a fun shoot, and one of the rare instances when even budget gear can deliver extraordinary results. More than anything, I think that the bright daylight of most Warped Tour dates frees photographers from most technical constraints and focuses shooting on the decisive moment.

These are some of my favorite moments from shooting Warped Tour 2011, including photos of The Devil Wears Prada, A Day To Remember, Yelawolf, Black Veil Brides, and Family Force 5.

Photographer's Notes:

Cameras Used:

  • Nikon D3
  • Nikon D700

Lenses Used:

No surprises here. Though I brought the Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8, I didn't end  up using it much for Warped Tour. All shots here were made with the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 and Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8, which cover pretty much anything you can throw at them. Warped Tour was no exception.

One of the best things about shooting Warped Tour? Besides access to dozens and dozens of bands throughout the day, shooting at base ISO at blazingly fast shutter speeds is certainly a nice change of pace for any music photographer!
