Photographer's Notes:

This was a really straight forward shoot. After The Plain White T's set and its great light, I was wondering what the rest of the event would bring. As luck would have it, the lighting for Dashboard Confessional was pretty nice, with a welcome spotlight on singer Chris Carrabba and lots of bright color washes over the background.

Dashboard's set also made use of vertical lighting accents on the sides of the stage, which provide a nice graphic feel to some of the shots.

Carrabba was a relatively easy target for this show, as the he spent most of the first two songs planted firmly at his mic stand due to his singing duties.

With only two songs to shoot, I concentrated mostly on the frontman, though pickingup a few shots here and there wasn't too difficult, either.

End Notes:

That's it for Rock Band Live 2008. Check out the sets from Panic At The Disco and The Plain White T's if you haven't already!

Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR:
A perfect pair to the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8, I can basically shoot any job with the midrange and this lens. Superb image quality.

Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8:
Ultra-wide perspective, ridiculously sharp even wide open at f/2.8. I love using this lens up-close and personal, where it excels.
